Colonial Records

Colonial was started in the mid-1950s by orchestra leader, record producer, and talent scout Manuel S. Acuña. Acuña recorded all genres of Mexican music in the area, including some Tejano/norteño groups who came to Los Angeles from Texas. Colonial artists included Los Costeños del Valle, Las Tejanitas, and Lydia Mendoza.
